I was working with a couple of friends putting together a web-based reality show. In writing the theme song for the show, I aimed at immediately engaging each listener. The theme song describes itself and it’s relation to the three of us - Kelly, Mark & Ken. The theme song then introduces the show, renders judgment as to the quality of the show, and finally brings the listener’s attention back to itself, the theme song.

The big lesson in all this? If you want to create a reality show of your own, all you need is a theme song. Everything else serves to diminish the reality and amplify the SHOW. Lead with audio! All you need do is start with your theme song and off you go….

I sang this song once at karaoke. Good times.
